St. John's School is a voluntary aided Roman Catholic School. The school offers a primary education to children aged 4 - 11 years who live in the Parishes of: St. John's Poulton-le-Fylde, St. Martin de Porres, Carleton, English Martyr's Poulton-le-Fylde and St. Francis Hambleton .
St John's School was founded in 1868, the original school building being the present Parish Club. The current building was opened in 1968, and has gradually been extended. The school now has eight teaching areas, four for our Infant children, and four for the Junior children.
We have had two extensions built recently, one to accommodate an ICT Suite, and another for the teaching of smaller groups of children.
The school has a good sized hard play area and a large playing field.
